POP – Proof of Product (set of documents that serve as a Seller’s proof that the product is real).

The PoP is sent bank to bank, (from the seller’s bank to the buyer’s bank), and is documentary evidence that the product exists.
The PoP is crucial from the Buyer’s perspective, and Buyers should care that the proof of product is authentic before agreeing to trade and/or signing any binding contracts.

PPOP is set of documents that serve as a Seller’s proof that the product is real

PPOP set of Documents typically consist: 

  • SGS Inspection Report or equivalent (SGS)
  • Dip Test Analysis Report (DTAR)
  • Certificate of Origin (COO)
  • Tank Storage Receipt (TSR)
  • Full Proof Of Product (Full POP) are sent by Secured Mail to the Buyers Bank / Buyer and typically consist of:
  • Copy of License / permit to export, issued by the department of the ministry of energy (If applicable)
  • Copy of statement of availability of the product
  • Copy of the refinery commitment to produce the product
  • Copy of the pipeline corporation contract to transport the product to the loading port
  • Refinery certificate of product
  • Copy of the port storage agreement (TSR – If applicable)
  • Dip Test Authorization letter (DTA)Copy of SGS or equivalent report (SGS)
The SGS or equivalent Inspection Report is done by an international inspection Agency or Company to become sure about the quality and quantity of the JET-A1 fuel before exporting.

Inspection services help to reduce risk and ensure quality and accuracy, as well as meeting regulatory requirements
Dip Test Analysis Report means testing procedures that give Fresh SGS report of fuel quality, getting Proof of Product (POP) before any payments

What is an Unconditional Dip Test Authorization?

Unconditional Dip Test Authorization (UDTA) which means no conditions prevent from testing the fuel, getting Proof of Product (POP) before required to make any payments for the fuel.
Certificate of Origin is an important document in Fuel trade that certifies that the products being exported have been manufactured and processed in that particular Country/Rafinery
